1. Constantly assessing the situation. 🐓
2. Sometimes I second guess getting the ponies, then the girls spend 3 hours grooming and "riding" those little furry angels all by themselves and I couldn't be more sure 🐴.
3. Addie is the embodiment of my post holiday feels (she's the pajama clad puddle at the bottom of the slide).

Well, that's a surprise.
Have you ever seen someone that you're pretty sure is pregnant, but there's still a chance that she just had a really awesome holiday, so you don't say anything? That was the case with this sweet mama.
We got her from someone who had no business owning cattle, but they were the breed we were looking for and we knew they were better off at our place. So we took 'em home. The first one calved over 6 months ago, so we thought her friends were probably just big boned. Today we found this sweet snowflake ❄cuddled up to mama. January is not best time to be a new baby calf, so we're keeping a close eye on him, but so far so good!
If you are surprised by his coloring, we are right there with ya😳! We had been told mom was exposed to a lowline angus, and our first calf looked like that was the case. Looking at this little guy, I'd guess there was a British White in the picture too. Unfortunately that is not a good match with a smaller framed aberdeen, but they've made it this far 🤞

Welcome to the family little man 🐄

P.S. Addie is convinced he is a sheep 🐑
