Virginia Raised, Grass-Fed & Grass-Finished Beef

Our Virginia-raised beef at Longbottom Farm is grass-fed & grass-finished. We provide cuts from pasture-raised cattle that produce a rich, complex, and artisanal flavor.  The cattle are allowed to mature slowly on grass, just as nature intended.  We feed no supplemental grains nor use hormones or antibiotics.  This means you get great tasting, healthy, chemical free cuts of beef.  Grass-fed beef has been shown to be higher in heart and brain healthy omega 3 fatty acids, beta carotene, and vitamins A & E.  This translates into a premium, grass-fed, pasture-raised beef we know you are going to love!

Available Spring & Fall of each year.  Stock your freezer with delicious, Grass-fed & Grass-finished Beef.  We’ll walk you through the cut process and deliver to your door, what we believe is some of the best tasting beef in central Virginia!

** Price per pound is based on the hanging weight provided by the butcher.

** The above prices are only estimates based on an average estimated size of a 900 lb animal and will vary.  The price per pound is based on the hanging weight reported by the butcher.  Rest assured that pricing per pound means you only pay for what you get and not for what you don't!  A delivery fee of $0.99 per mile (from farm to drop off location; up to 50 miles) is added to total if home delivery is desired.  Deposits are non-refundable and balance is due prior to delivery via invoice sent right to your email inbox.

How to Order

Farm Pickup

We encourage you to pick up your meat and eggs here at Longbottom Farm, so you can see how your food is raised and meet your farmers.  Place your order right here at the farm store and pick-up your order at an agreed upon time.  Contact us first to ensure we are not out in the fields or tending to the animals.

Charlottesville City Market

Visit us at the Charlottesville City Market.  We will be there every Saturday from 9 am – noon.  This runs from April – December.  You may also place your order online and we'll have it ready and waiting for you at the market.

Delivery

We personally deliver locally (within 20 miles of the farm) every Wednesday for orders over $50.  We also deliver regionally via Fed Ex (Pasture to Porch) to all of Virginia and surrounding states.  Stay home, relax, and await your farm-fresh goodness to arrive!

** Pasture to Porch excludes bulk shares, some bundle packages, & eggs

For delivery, your meat order will be packed in coolers, kept frozen by gel packs or dry ice.  Your eggs will be delivered refrigerated and we recommend keeping them cold to ensure freshness and longevity.
