Hey folks,

Quick heads up that we’ll be closing down the farm from December 22nd through December 28th for a Christmas break.

Any orders you place before then will be set for pickup in our outdoor freezers as usual. You can grab them anytime, even while we’re away.

Lexi and I are heading out of town to see some family and just taking some time away from the computers. Not sure the kids will follow suit, but at least we’re trying.

As I get older, I’ve learned that taking some downtime and spending it with the family needs to be at the top of the list. Our girls are growing up so fast, and even though I look at them sometimes and wish it was 10 years ago, I know I’m gonna look back on this time in 10 years and wish the same thing.

This Christmas we’re doing the gifts and all the usual stuff, but we’re also prioritizing just hanging out together, watching movies, playing games, things I’ve taken for granted before.

Farming, like any business, is one of those things I love doing, but at the same time I can look back and see where maybe too much of my focus was on that and not on the family. It’s easy to tell ourselves we’re working to make our family better, to make money, to create a better life, but at the same time ignore that sometimes all someone really needs from you is your attention.

This time of year is a big reminder of that, and we’re always working to try and find a balance between family, pursuing our dreams and goals, and making the most of the time we have, because as I get older, it seems to be going by faster and faster.

This has been a wonderful year for us, and we can’t thank you enough for continuing to support our farm.

We made some big changes this year with not doing the farmers market anymore and scaling back a little on some of the enterprises, and honestly, it’s been the right call.

Our dream is to see more local farm providing to their local communities because the community as a whole benefits from healthier food, less intense processes to get that food, and more dollars staying within the community.

It’s also a way farming can be a job creator, and small businesses thrive when they’re supported by their communities.

We wouldn’t still be here today if not for the support from you.

So just wanted to say thanks again, happy holidays, and we’ll see you heading into the new year.

If it’s not good enough for our family, it won’t be put out there for yours.

Thanks for following us and allowing us to serve you. If you have questions, give us a shout! Have a wonderful week!

With our appreciation,

Jason, Lexi, & Family
