Latest Farm Updates

This Week on the Farm

Around the Farm

This week on the farm…
1. We have color! I spent an extra few minutes telling the girls how proud I was of them 😍.
2. 10 feet of feeder and they all squish into the 2 feet at the end for organic alfalfa & kelp.
3. Frozen water troughs mean trips to the cistern with 5 gallon buckets and getting sideways in the Gator on this.
4. Painting the original rooms has commenced. Here’s to the next 6 months of paint on my clothes and in my hair.

Nesting Cows and Uninvited Guest

This week on the farm

This week on the farm…
1. Duncan is on hawk watch while Greta naps. He takes his job very seriously.
2. Raccoon tracks in the snow. Probably the reason Greta needed a nap.
3. Our cow is nesting. I think they’re spending too much time with the chickens.
4. You would not believe how excited I was for this egg basket. Watch out middle age, I’m coming for ya!

Thanks for following along with us and for your support.  Keep your eye out over the next few weeks as we will begin offering bulk beef options (Quarters, Halfs, and Wholes).  “Cowpooling” for those that want to stock up on 100% Virginia Raised Grassfed Beef.  Shortly after that, it’s on to Pastured Pork.  More details to come!
