Happy New Year (almost) from all of us at Longbottom Farm!
I’m not huge on New Year’s resolutions—most of mine fizzle out by mid-January if I’m being honest. But this year we’re making a real effort around here to focus on our health.
Sounds simple enough, right? Eat better, move more, all that stuff everyone says.
But here’s the thing: even though we raise some of the healthiest meat and eggs you can find, that doesn’t mean we always eat that way. We’re human.
Sometimes the freezer full of grassfed beef sits there while we grab something quick and not-so-healthy. Not all the time, but more than we’d like to admit.
So we’re trying to be more intentional this year. Walking out to check on the animals instead of hopping on the gator every single time.
Maybe adding another karate class during the week. We started that this year and it’s been good for us.
Making more time to cook the good food we have instead of defaulting to whatever’s easiest when life gets busy.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being a little better than we were.

Farm Pick-Up – Order online and pick up your order at our newly constructed barn. Place your order online, then once you receive the “Your Order is Ready for Pick-up” email (24 – 72 hours), pick-up anytime between 8am – 8pm SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! Your Order will be placed in our outdoor freezers / fridge for pick-up at your convenience and labeled with your name. Easy-peasy!
Local Delivery – We offer local home delivery to the Scottsville / Charlottesville / Palmyra areas (availability is determined by zip code at checkout). We deliver every Thursday for orders over $50 ($6 delivery charge) and FREE DELIVERY for orders over $99. Simply Order online and we’ll take care of the rest!
