New additions to the farm

Someone became a year older this week!

Happy cattle enjoying some of these milder temperatures

Pastured Poultry is Back & Some Farm Updates

It’s been a little milder this week, which has been a nice break. Second cutting hay is coming up soon, and things are full tilt around the farm.

We’re rotating animals to fresh pasture, keeping the horses fed and fly-sprayed, and doing our best to make sure everyone’s got shade when the heat kicks up.

Summer’s busy—but that’s just part of it. This week, some farm updates.

Pastured Poultry is Back!! (Almost)

We just picked up our first batch of chickens from the processor Friday! Our pastured poultry will be restocked early to mid next week!

That includes a full range of cuts: chicken breasts, leg quarters, wings, tenders, and more. Everything is pasture-raised, moved daily, fed non-GMO feed, and raised with care.

That said, a quick heads-up: no whole birds this round.

We requested half whole and half parted, but the processor mistakenly parted everything. Once it’s done, it’s done.

Not ideal, but the good news is we’ve got a ton of chicken cuts ready for your grill or skillet next week.

Beef Update

We recently added a couple new steers to the herd from Buffalo Creek Ranch, including some solid-looking South Polls. These animals are a great addition to our farm and excited to see how they turn out.

Meanwhile, we still have plenty of steaks, roasts, and more in stock. We’re also expecting a few more animals back from processing over the next month or two, which means ground beef bundles and bulk options will return soon.

Dry-Aged Beef Please

Eggs, Eggs, Eggs

The hens are in high gear, and we’ve got plenty of fresh eggs available right now.

Want to save a little cash? Grab one of our 3-dozen or 5-dozen bundles—a great deal and easy to stock up for summer breakfasts, baking, or just feeding a crowd.

There’s nothing like an egg from chickens raised on pasture.

Hand-Gathered Eggs

Plenty of Pork

Our freezers are full of Woodland Pork, and we’ve got more coming in October.

Now’s a great time to stock up—whether it’s sausage for weekend breakfasts, chops for the grill, or a pork shoulder for the smoker.
