‘Round the Farm – 🍀 4-H Fun Show Edition

This was mere moments before Ace had the bejezzus scared out of him by a mini pony 🐴

Fin an Nelly practicing the ol’ turn and burn 🔥

They were also thrilled to enter a bareback class 🏆

Ace spent most of the show parked out and begging for belly rubs 😆

Thanksgiving is Almost Here!

If you picked up one of our pasture-raised turkeys, we want to help you make it the best bird yet.

Even if you’re cooking a turkey from somewhere else, these tips will come in handy!

Here’s a quick guide to thawing, brining, and cooking your turkey. For all the details, check out the links below!

How to Thaw Your Turkey:

Thawing in the fridge is the safest method. Plan for 1 day per 5 pounds of turkey, and I like to add an extra day just to be safe. Place it in a pan to catch any drips.

In a hurry? You can use the cold water method—just submerge the turkey in cold water, changing the water every 30 minutes.

Brining for Juicy Perfection:

Brining adds flavor and keeps your turkey moist. It’s easier than you think! You can try a wet brine (soaking the turkey in a salty solution) or a dry brine (rubbing salt and spices directly onto the turkey). Both are great options.

  • Wet Brine: Soak the turkey in a salty water mix for 12–24 hours in the fridge.
  • Dry Brine: Rub salt and seasonings on the turkey (inside and out) and let it sit uncovered in the fridge for 24–48 hours.

Preparation & Cooking Tips:
Season your turkey, cook it to the right temperature, and don’t forget to let it rest after cooking—it’s just as important as cooking itself!
