‘Round the Farm

Hey Reader,

Quick update on the farm situation. We’re still closed, but we’re getting close to reopening.

It’s been about six days since my last email, and honestly, things got worse before they got better. The little bit of melting we had just turned everything into a skating rink once it froze back up at night. We tried salt (I had about 100 lbs), but when the roads are this cold, it doesn’t really touch it. Pretty much nothing. And of course everyone is sold out.

Got the tractor fixed a couple days ago, which was great news for about five minutes. Then I broke my box blade trying to chip up the ice on our driveway. That one’s on me—I should’ve been pulling instead of pushing. Live and learn, right?

The good news? We’ve got some warmer temps coming in the next couple days that should actually help. Once that ice melts and we can get things cleared safely, we’ll be back open. I’m thinking a few more days at most.

I know this has been a long closure, and I appreciate everyone’s patience. To say thanks for sticking with us (and as an apology for the wait), we’re throwing in a pound of mild sausage for free with each order this week. Just our way of saying we appreciate your business and support.

Here’s to warmer temps and getting back to normal.

Thanks for following us and allowing us to serve you. If you have questions, give us a shout! Have a wonderful week!

With our appreciation,

Jason, Lexi, & Family
