‘Round the Farm
There’s one thing that’s never ending on the farm, and that’s fencing.
Finley is becoming quite the equestrian and we couldn’t be more proud.
Welp, this ain’t good. Yes the DEF fluid is full. Apparently we have some kind of system fault. Grrrrrr.

This week, we’ve got some big news to share. It’s not bad news by any means—in fact, it’s something we feel really good about as a family—but it is a change.
After nine years, we’ve decided not to participate in the farmers market this season.
That decision didn’t come lightly. We’ve loved every bit of our time at the market—meeting customers face-to-face, shaking hands, sharing laughs, making new friends, and feeling like a real part of the local community.
Social media is fine, but nothing compares to chatting in person.
But our girls are growing up fast. Their weekend activities are picking up, and to be honest, Lexi and I have missed some of the things we used to enjoy together—like hitting the flea market, going thrifting, sleeping in a bit, or just spending an unscheduled Saturday as a family.
We’re incredibly lucky that the farm gives us a lot of weekday family time, but weekend life is something we’ve been missing more and more. So this year, we’re giving ourselves permission to slow it down a bit.
The farm is still going strong!
We’re still raising and offering all the pasture-raised meat and eggs you know and love. And we’re making it easy to keep getting your favorites:
🛒 On-Farm Pickup
Place your order at longbottomfarm.com, and we’ll get it ready within 24–48 hours. You’ll get an email when it’s ready with clear pickup instructions and photos. Pick up any day of the week from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Yes, it’s a bit of a drive for some—but buying in bulk saves you money, and the view out here of the farm and James River isn’t too bad either. 😉
🚚 Local Delivery
We deliver every Thursday to the Charlottesville / Palmyra area. Just enter your zip code at checkout to see if you’re in our delivery range. Minimum order is $50, and delivery is free on orders over $99.
So while we won’t be under the tents this year, we’re still here, still farming, and still offering you the best we can.
Your support over the years has meant the world to us. We truly couldn’t be doing this without you.
Hopefully we’ll see you around town, at the market, or local thrift shops, not as vendors, but as fellow community members enjoying a Saturday morning.

How To Get That Pastured Goodness!
Want to pick some Longbottom Farm beef, pork, poultry, eggs, and coffee as well as other locally produced goodies. These are the places to do it.
Charlottesville City Market – (April 6th – Dec 14th) Saturdays from 9am – 1pm. A great way to stock up on some local food and treats while enjoying some fresh air. Thanks to all those that have come out to support local farms and artisans in our area. Hope to see you there!
Farm Pick-Up – Order online and pick up your order at our newly constructed barn. Place your order online, then once you receive the “Your Order is Ready for Pick-up” email (24 – 72 hours), pick-up anytime between 8am – 8pm SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! Your Order will be placed in our outdoor freezers / fridge for pick-up at your convenience and labeled with your name. Easy-peasy!
Locally Delivery – We offer local home delivery to the Scottsville / Charlottesville areas (availability is determined by zip code at checkout). We deliver every Thursday for orders over $50 ($6 delivery charge) and FREE DELIVERY for orders over $99. Simply Order online and we’ll take care of the rest!
