This Week ‘Round The Farm
Weaning is going well for these cuties.
Added a bit of color to the herd 😍
Also added a bit more to the schedule with this little bottle baby. He’s adorable, but needy.
Nosey 👃.

Farm Updates
As spring transitions into summer, so begin more projects and adventures. While we remain out of stock on our retail cuts (that will be fixed early August), our first round of beef shares are being processed and second round soon to follow. Here’s what else is happening and in the works.
New Chicks Have Arrived!
Eggs have been selling out as fast as we get them. To fix that, we now have 100 new layers on the farm. Some baby chicks and some pullets (teenage birds). They are not laying yet but will be soon. In the meantime, we’re rotating them around to fertilize the pastures and fill up on all the bugs and grass they want.
August Beef Restock
Beef will be fully restocked mid August! Between July and August, we are taking in ~ 4000 lbs of cattle that should yield ~ 1600 lbs of beef. To ensure we have plenty of stock, we’ll be suspending bulk shares (Quarters, Halves, and Wholes) for this fall. Those shares will be converted to individual cuts / value packs. This way, we can share more beef with more people and have more of your favorite cuts in stock. Shares will be available again once processor back log settles a bit.
On Farm Pick-Up
While our stock is low and the pandemic persist, we are still available for on-farm pick up of eggs, beef, and pork. We are practicing social distancing and following guidelines but remain open for business. We can place your order outside for pick-up if you desire no contact, or load it up for you while maintaining the recommended distancing. Pasture to Porch (Fed Ex), Farmers Market, and local delivey are all on hold for now but will return later this summer once inventory is restored.
That’s it for now. While this pandemic has temporarily emptied our freezers, it has given us a chance to set in motion some future projects and offerings we’re really excited about (more to come). Thanks for your patience during these strange times and stay tuned for more!
