Spring Has Sprung

Hi there!

It has been a hot second since we’ve reached out, but spring has sprung and brought with it the usual onslaught of soccer games, barbecues, and social engagements that make us feel human again.

Here on the farm we have been keeping busy with new lambs, getting the garden planted, rotating animals, and doing our best to keep up with the grass. We’re back at Charlottesville City Market every Saturday and LOVE getting to see all those smiling faces!

We’re also getting ready to break ground on a new barn! We’ll, it will look like a barn but building out to suit many purposes. Having 11 chest freezers scattered between 4 rooms in our home over the last 5 years has lost its luster and it’s time they found a new home. The barn will also open up many options on the farm. Horse boarding, cold storage, poultry processing, farm store?, on farm classes, and much more. We have lots of ideas so stay tuned for whats to come.

We’re also gearing up for Memorial Day weekend! Celebrating all those that made the ultimate sacrifice by enjoying the freedoms they so bravely fought for. We’re stocked up on grilling essentials and you can find all of the burger, chops, and chicken quarters you know and love along with some new additions like our pork grilling brats! Our grillers come in 3 delicious varieties; Cheese, Jalapeno & Cheese, and Peppers and Onions, that are sure to please!

Farm Updates

Pork Shares are in Stock!

We have a few pork shares left. If you’re looking to stock up on Pastured Pork at a discount, this is for you. We have wholes and halves, as well as a new option, our 1/4th pork share. All shares are predefined meaning you know the cuts, amount, and price of everything all up front. No cut sheets or hanging weights to deal with!

Pastured Poultry is Running Low

We’re running low on available Pastured Poultry from this previous season. We’re in the process of constructing a processing area but a few months out from that being complete. We’re hoping to finish late summer and process 1-2 batches of birds, but there’s a chance we’ll be out of poultry for a period. Just know we’re on it to fix that.

Charlottesville City Market – Every Saturday from 8 am – 12 noon. A great way to stock up on some local food and treats while enjoying some fresh air. Thanks to all those that have come out to support local farms and artisans in our area. Hope to see you there!

Curbside Pick-up – Order online and pick up on farm with our Curbside Pick-up. Place your order, choose your day, and pick-up anytime on that day between 11am and 4pm. That’s it!

Locally Delivery – If you are within 30 minutes of our farm (availability is determined by zip code at checkout), we offer home delivery to the Scottsville / Charlottesville areas. We deliver every Friday for orders over $50 ($6 delivery charge) and FREE DELIVERY for orders over $99. Simply Order online and we’ll take care of the rest!
