Believe and Achieve:

Turning Can’t into Can at Longbottom Farm

Believe You Can and You Will

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” – Henry Ford

Happy New Year! It’s that time when we all think about New Year’s resolutions. But did you know that any day is perfect for making a positive change? That’s what we learn every day here at Longbottom Farm. Our farm, with all its animals and chores, doesn’t just follow a calendar. Each day is a fresh start, a chance to grow, care, and hopefully succeed.

On our farm, raising animals teaches us big lessons about never giving up and believing in ourselves. Every day, we face new challenges. Like how we’re currently learning carpentry to get our barn up and running, or figuring out why an owl was bothering our chickens (now we keep them safe at night). What we’ve learned is this: believing you can do it is the key. This kind of thinking changes normal days into amazing ones.

Henry Ford’s famous words really speak to us. Farming, just like life, is all about how we think about our work. It’s not only the hard work with our hands but also the strong thoughts in our minds. When we come across a tough problem, we tell ourselves we can get through it. And often, that’s half the job done.

This way of thinking doesn’t stop at our farm’s fences. Every day gives us a chance to begin something new, chase a dream, or make a small move towards a big goal. You don’t need to wait for New Year’s Day to make a promise to yourself. Farm life shows us that every day is full of chances.

So, if you’re dreaming of starting your own garden, learning something new, or just enjoying the little happy things in life, remember: your belief in yourself is your biggest power. We care for our dreams like we care for our animals – with the strong belief that WE CAN!

And on those tough days when you start to doubt (and it happens to everyone), just tell yourself, “I can do this. I’ve got this!” When I have these doubts, I think about my journey. I remember how far I’ve come and that reminds me it’s possible. Life always moves on, showing us that we can shape our days the way we want.

Let’s face each day with hope and a “can do” spirit. Here at Longbottom Farm, we know that whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.

Thanks for following us and allowing us to serve you.  If you have questions or would like to share your thoughts, give us a shout!  Have a wonderful week!
